September 18th, 2010 I boarded a plane in Washington D.C. for the trip of my life.  A few days later I arrived at my training site- Chernigov, Ukraine.  My first 3 months in Ukraine I was in training- Russian language training, technical training on teaching and cross cultural training.  In December of 2010 I swore in to service for a 2 year commitment to teach English at a school in Konotop, Ukraine. I have been in country for over a year and a half now, and I wouldn’t trade my time here for anything.  Peace Corps said this would be “the toughest job you’ll ever love,” and I am finally beginning to understand and appreciate that more each day.

The contents of this Web site are mine personally and do not reflect any position of the U.S. Goverment or the Peace Corps.
